American Bridge Targets GOP Senate Hopefuls With Google Search Ads on Trump and Russia

Following Trump’s Leak To Russians, Ads Will Pressure Republicans To Support An Independent Investigation

Republican members of Congress considering a run for Senate are hiding from voters and the press, refusing to confront Donald Trump’s reckless disclosure of classified information to Russian officials and his reckless firing of FBI Director James Comey. This week, American Bridge will be helping out their constituents with search ads on Google explaining how they can hold their Member of Congress accountable.

The ads will appear on Google when users search for information about Trump’s leak to the Russians and the firing of James Comey. The ads will direct voters to an American Bridge websitethat helps them hold their member of Congress accountable and call for an independent investigation into Trump’s ties to Russia.

The ads target Rep. Todd Rokita, Rep. Luke Messer, Rep. Ann Wagner, Rep. Vicky Hartzler, Rep. Fred Upton, Rep. Lou Barletta, and Rep. Mike Kelly. Here’s what voters in their districts will see online this week as they look for updates on Trump’s leak to Russia and Comey’s firing:

Statement by American Bridge spokesperson Joshua Karp:

“Our message to any Republican running for Senate or thinking about it is simple: you can try to run from Donald Trump’s Russia scandal, but you can’t hide. This campaign will shine a spotlight on your silence and cowardice that is putting our national security at risk. The American people deserve better than silence and lip-service, and Republicans who fail to back an independent investigation will face the consequences at the ballot box.”
