American Bridge spokesperson Sabrina Singh released the following statement in response to new reports showing Michael Flynn was paid $50,000 by Russian companies:

Newspapers Across the Country Call on Congress to Investigate Trump’s Ties to Russia

Editorials Call an Investigation an “urgent obligation,” “duty to the American people,” and a “dire need”

As Donald Trump flees to Mar-A-Lago this weekend, he can’t escape the scathing headlines and editorials from newspapers across the country calling for a thorough and independent investigation of Trump and his aides’ connections to the Russian interests that stole documents to influence our election. This week it we learned Trump’s campaign  was in “constant communication” with Russian intelligence officials and his National Security Advisor was forced to resign after lying about potentially illegal conversations he had with Russia about lifting sanctions.

The New York Times – Bring On the Special Prosecutor

“In light of the stunning events of the past week, the question is not whether the Trump administration’s ties to the Russian government need to be investigated immediately and fully — clearly they do. It’s who will be in charge of that […]

Tough On Russia? Not Really.

American Bridge Vice President Shripal Shah released the following statement after Russia secretly deployed a cruise missile in violation of an arms control treaty that helped put an end to the Cold War:

“These actions taken under the direction of Vladimir Putin pose a significant threat to the surrounding region, NATO and its allies. Despite claims from White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer that “the President has been incredibly tough on Russia,” nothing could be further from the truth. The Trump administration’s unwillingness to stand up to Putin continues to present serious national security risks that cannot be overstated or further ignored.”

Spicer: Trump Knew At Least 3 Weeks Ago Flynn Had Discussed Sanctions With Russia

Sean Spicer today admitted Donald Trump knew at least three weeks ago that Mike Flynn talked to Russia about easing sanctions and then lied to Vice President Pence.

Rather than take action to fire Flynn or exclude him from classified briefings — despite knowing the Russians might have compromised Flynn or be blackmailing him — Trump didn’t do or say anything, except last week lie to the media about what he knew and when he knew it.

Flynn Resignation Raises Further Questions For Trump, Americans Deserve Answers Now

The latest White House scandal won’t end with Michael Flynn’s resignation. In reality, new reports suggest the White House and the President have been lying to the American public for potentially weeks now, and when Press Secretary Sean Spicer takes the podium this afternoon, he’ll be left with nowhere to hide. The American people deserve answers and they deserve them now.

“It’s time for serious answers from the Trump administration about how deep this scandal runs and the extent to which the President is involved,” said American Bridge Vice President Shripal Shah. “Michael Flynn’s resignation is not the end of this episode, it’s only the beginning.”

Shah calls on Spicer to answer the following questions:

Who in the White House was aware of the true nature Flynn’s conversations with the Russian ambassador and did anyone instruct him to convey the message of easing sanctions?
Who specifically in the Trump administration knew about the Justice Department’s warnings […]

Trump Administration Officials: Either Flynn or Pence Lied about Russian Conversations

Last night, news broke that during the Trump transition National Security Advisor Michael Flynn reassured the Russian ambassador after the Obama administration imposed sanctions in response to allegations the country used cyberattacks to sway the 2016 election. Nine current or former officials in place at the time of the calls have confirmed the nature of the conversations which have been labeled “inappropriate and potentially illegal.”

The news directly contradicts previous denials from Vice President Mike Pence, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, and Flynn himself.

“Either Flynn lied to the Vice President or the Vice President lied to the American people, it’s that simple,” said American Bridge Vice President Shripal Shah.  “The American people need a clear answer from the White House about how high up the chain of the command this conspiracy goes and what actions will be taken to rectify it.”

“Great Pick!” — David Duke

Republicans who are praising the racist misfits that Donald Trump is picking for his Cabinet are in good company. Former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke thinks that Steve Bannon and Michael Flynn in the White House and Jeff Sessions down the street as Attorney General are all “Great!”

Why does a racist white supremacist think Donald Trump is surrounding himself with the right men?

Jeff Sessions, Attorney General: Said “Be careful what you say to white folks” to an African American lawyer. (And much more.)

Michael Flynn, National Security Advisor: Islam is a “cancer” and a “political ideology,” not a religion.

Steve Bannon, chief strategist: Jewish kids are “whiny brats.”

Mike Pompeo, CIA director: Said Muslim leaders were “complicit” in Boston Marathon bombings.

Trump is stacking his administration with like-minded white nationalists and all the wrong people are […]
