Florida Man Mike Rogers Wants a Do-Over in Michigan this November

Aug 04, 2026

Florida resident Mike Rogers and his pedigree of cashing Big Pharma checks while supporting policies that hurt Michiganders has secured the Republican nomination for Michigan’s Senate seat. If elected, Rogers brings his anti-abortion extremism, his campaign against affordable healthcare, and his support of the policies raising Michiganders’ costs to the U.S. Senate.

“Michiganders have already told Mike Rogers they don’t want him as their senator on account of who he is and his history of abandoning them,” said American Bridge 21st Century Spokesperson Gus Nathanson. “Here’s to hoping that Rogers takes a hint after voters send him packing to Mar-A-Lago this November.”

Mike Rogers’ record makes it clear he does not belong in the Senate:

  • Rogers has spent his career being bankrolled by Big Pharma, having received over a million dollars from the pharmaceutical/health products industry.
    • Rogers was described as a “champion” of the Pharma industry and pushed for greater access to opioids which fueled the opioid epidemic.
  • Rogers’ support of the Iran war has been extremely harmful to Michiganders, especially Michigan farmers.
    • Rogers believes there “shouldn’t be a date” when the war ends; he mocked opposition to the war, dismissed the war’s unpopularity and rising gas prices, and praised Trump’s alleged peace efforts.
    • As a result, Michigan farmers struggled with 40% price increases on fertilizer.
    • Gas prices increased over $1 in Michigan and reached a three-year high amid Trump’s war with Iran.
  • Rogers praised Trump’s tariffs and dismissed Michiganders’ concerns over their impact.
    • Michigan farmers lost $167 million in agricultural exports last year as a result of Trump’s tariffs; farmers faced 89% reductions in their exports, slashed farm spending, and braced for losses amid Trump’s trade wars.
    • The tariffs also harmed Michigan’s economy and squeezed auto manufacturers.
  • Mike Rogers is a threat to abortion rights. He actively opposed Prop 3 which codified abortion rights in Michigan and said that he supported “all restrictions on abortion.”
    • Rogers voted for abortion bans and co-sponsored legislation to prevent FDA approval of Mifepristone.
  • Rogers and his wife gained hundreds of thousands of dollars in wealth through companies that have partnered with Chinese firms while Rogers hypocritically railed against China.
  • Rogers is running his 2026 Senate campaign from Florida. He’s hosted fundraisers and given interviews from his Cape Coral mansion.
  • Rogers has engaged in election denial; he claimed he was winning the 2024 Senate election until a “very unusual truckload of ballots” appeared in Detroit.
