In a new interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Donald Trump definitively exposes himself as a shameless racist. Trump continued his racist attacks on Judge Gonzalo Curiel, a federal judge born in Indiana, who Trump in the interview calls “a Mexican,” clearly intending it to be a pejorative. Jake Tapper repeatedly points out that Curiel is, in fact, an American citizen, but Trump continues to insist that Curiel’s “very proud” “Mexican heritage” somehow discounts his American citizenship.
American Bridge President Jessica Mackler released the following statement on Donald Trump’s interview with Jake Tapper:
“We knew Donald Trump was an anti-immigrant, misogynistic fraud and now we know with certainty that he’s an out and proud racist.”
