Mum’s the word among congressional Republicans regarding the campaign contributions they’ve received from alleged wife and child abuser Max Miller.
New reporting by POLITICO shows Miller’s PAC donated to 16 vulnerable Republican incumbents — and all but one of them currently have no plans to return the money.
“One would think it would be a moral imperative to return Max Miller’s donations, or to even denounce him at all,” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Gus Nathanson. “But in the case of congressional Republicans, I suppose one would be wrong. The right thing to do would be to donate the money to organizations that support domestic abuse victims, and that’s exactly why Republicans won’t.”

- When asked about his donations from Miller, Van Orden refused to discuss the matter, calling the accusations against Miller “allegations” he had heard about “the day before yesterday.”
