Tonight’s Virginia primaries officially re-nominated Republicans Rob Wittman (VA-01), Jen Kiggans (VA-02), and John McGuire (VA-05).
“The big things to know about Wittman, Kiggans, and McGuire are: they’re in office to enrich themselves and their party bosses, they will never stop voting to raise prices and cut healthcare, and they’re going to lose this November,” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Monica Venzke. “They are failures to their constituents, embarrassments to the Commonwealth, and far, far from moderates.”
As a reminder:
Rob Wittman:
- Tripled his net worth while in Congress.
- Pocketed $60,000 thanks to his support of the One Big Beautiful Bill.
- Voted to cut Medicaid.
- Faked a phone call to avoid accountability.
- Backed the DOGE cuts that cost thousands of Virginians their jobs.
- Agreed three times with a radio host saying Hakeem Jeffries has “cotton-picking hands.”
- Is proud to be “instrumental” in passing healthcare cuts.
- Is an anti-choice extremist.
- Supported DOGE, the agency that cost thousands of Virginians their jobs and livelihoods, telling her constituents to find new jobs.
- Defended and voted to protect child marriage.
- Vacationed in Scotland while DHS employees were going without pay.
- Was on the DOGE caucus, which cost thousands of Virginians their jobs and livelihoods, and defended the layoffs saying, “We’ve all been fired or lost a job sometime in our life.”
- Believes he was elected to “support President Trump’s agenda,” not to serve his constituents.
