Mr. "Sorry Not Sorry" Cites Racist Hate Group In First General Election Ad

Aug 19, 2016

American Bridge Vice President Eddie Vale issued the following statement on Donald Trump’s first general election TV ad:

“Donald Trump is up with his first ad of the general election, and it’s a negative smear full of lies and race baiting. Mere hours after he promised a course correction, Trump gave us the strongest sign yet that he isn’t changing. Citing discredited and racist lies from a known hate group proves that Trump is embracing his nativist fearmongering and only appeals to the far-right fringe.

“Donald Trump has shown us who he is over the course of this campaign and decades in business: An unapologetic racist who peddles conspiracy theories and openly praises dictators and fascists. There will be no pivot after today.”
