Dan Sullivan, a born-and-raised Ohioan, has secured his spot in Alaska’s Senate general election after finishing in second behind Mary Peltola in the jungle primary. Sullivan will now attempt to win over Alaskans with his record of voting for devastating healthcare cuts, supporting policies that have hurt Alaska’s economy, and selling out to corporate interests that are in direct competition with Alaska’s local industries.
“Dan Sullivan doesn’t represent Alaskans — he represents whoever’s writing him checks,” said American Bridge 21st Century Spokesperson Gus Nathanson. “Healthcare cuts. The Iran war. Corporate trawling. Sullivan’s record is nothing but a long list of betrayals making it harder for Alaskans to make ends meet. He’s sold out the people of Alaska again and again, and this November, they’re going to hold him accountable.”

- Sullivan claimed that Alaska was in “good shape” regarding Medicaid funding following passage of the bill, calling it a “big win” for rural hospitals and healthcare. Sullivan’s vote put Alaska’s rural hospitals at risk of closure.

- Sullivan sold out to corporate trawlers despite the majority of Alaskans opposing commercial trawling.
- He accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars from the trade association that represented commercial trawlers and bemoaned federal restrictions on commercial trawling.
- He also watered down Representative Mary Peltola’s bycatch legislation and gutted key provisions for small vessels and Alaskan fishermen.
- Sullivan turned his back on his constituents by failing to disclose stock trades in a seafood company that was in direct competition with Alaska’s fishing industry.
