The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is frantically backpedaling on its criticisms of Ken Paxton now that he has won the Senate primary run-off in Texas. According to recent reporting from CNN, the NRSC, the official campaign arm of the Republican Party, deleted at least two dozen press releases, digital ads, and statements attacking Paxton. Among the deleted content were posts criticizing Paxton’s infidelity and calling out a generous plea deal he gave to a man charged with child trafficking during his time as Texas Attorney General.
The NRSC’s now-deleted posts frequently called Paxton “crooked” and stated that his corruption would threaten the Republican Party’s agenda.
