ICYMI: Jeb Bush's Baffling Hypocrisy (WEB AD)
Jeb Bush attacked Hillary Clinton's private e-mails as “a little baffling, to be honest with you" but what's baffling is why Governor Bush would taunt others given his troubling vulnerabilities about his much more extensive e-mail problem. The Washington Post reported that Bush compromised security by discussing troop movements on his personal e-mail account, and The New York Times found that it took Governor Bush more than seven years to fully comply with a Florida public records statute on email disclosure -- a violation of state law.
Scott Walker: "Most Significant" Foreign Policy Decision Was Firing American Workers
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, fresh off of comparing middle class American workers in his state to ISIS, is tripling down on the idea that doing Wall Street's dirty work will prepare him to face down foreign threats. This morning at a closed Club for Growth event, Walker called Reagan's decision to fire 11,000 air traffic controllers the most important foreign policy decision in his lifetime. Scott Walker was born in 1967. Here's a brief list of major foreign policy decisions that have occurred in his lifetime: - Nixon opening China - The global war on terror - Every START treaty - The Vietnam War - American involvement in Kosovo
Walker's DOT spends taxpayer dollars on Flintstone-era training video
Governor Scott Walker's got a joke for Wisconsin taxpayers. A bunch of actors in "Flinstones" cars walk into a roundabout, and.... Wait, never mind. That's the punchline. According to the Wisconsin Reporter, Walker's Department of Transportation spent $30,000 in 2013 on a new instructional video for navigating traffic roundabouts. In making the $30,000 video, WisDOT opted for a throw back to a fictional Stone Age and have actors walk around wearing cardboard car cutouts while the narrator describes proper roundabout protocol. That's right, a driver training video that uses the same technology as Fred Flintstone did for his commute to work on a dinosaur crane. It's a farce you have to see to believe.

BRIDGE BRIEFING: Romney’s Poor Jobs Record In Massachusetts
Massachusetts Job Creation Ranked Poorly Under Romney
In Romney’s Four Years As Governor Massachusetts Ranked 47th Out Of 50 In Jobs Growth. According to Marketwatch, “The Republican contender was the governor of Massachusetts from January 2003 to January 2007. And during that time, according to the U.S. Labor Department, the state ranked 47th in the entire country in jobs growth. Fourth from last. The only ones that did worse? Ohio, Michigan and Louisiana. In other words, two rustbelt states and another that lost its biggest city to a hurricane. The Massachusetts jobs growth over that period, a pitiful 0.9%, badly lagged other high-skill, high-wage, knowledge economy states like New York (2.7%), California (4.7%) and North Carolina (7.6%). The national average: More than 5%.” [Marketwatch, 2/23/10]In Romney’s First Year In Charge, Massachusetts “Ranked Dead Last In America In Job Growth.” According to Marketwatch, “So far Obama has been in office for just one year. How was Romney’s performance by his first anniversary? Fiftieth out of fifty. That’s right. In Romney’s first year in charge, Massachusetts ranked dead last in America in jobs growth.” [Marketwatch, 2/23/10]
Massachusetts Unemployment Rate “Showed Little Movement During Romney’s Tenure” And Went From Below The National Average When He Took Office To Above The National Average When He Left. According to the Associated Press, “The state’s unemployment numbers also showed little movement during Romney’s tenure. In December 2002, as Romney prepared to step into office, Massachusetts unemployment rate stood at 5.6 percent, slightly lower than the national unemployment rate of 6 percent. By December 2006 - Romney’s last full month in office - national unemployment had fallen to just 4.5 percent while Massachusetts unemployment numbers had inched down to 5.2 percent. ‘We’ve had a very slow economic recovery and we’ve trailed most of the rest of the nation,’ said Michael Widmer, president of the business-backed Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation. ‘It’s not the turnaround he’s advertised.’” [Associated Press, 2/4/08]Las Vegas Review-Journal: Heller Backs off on 'March Madness'
