U.S. House Texas

Carlos De La Cruz

Carlos De La Cruz thought he could win the TX-35 election on family ties alone. He coasted to victory in the primary without taking a stand on key issues important to Texans, instead relying on his sister’s name. One thing he made clear was that he was eager to be “Trump’s wingman” if elected to Congress. He has touted endorsements from President Donald Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson, even though their policies have caused pain for many Texans in the 35th district, and he has also touted endorsements from numerous members of Congress who have faced various scandals. Texans in the new 35th district deserve a congressman who will be honest with them about where they stand on key issues, not another self-serving politician who’s just another talking head for Washington party leaders.
