U.S. House Arkansas

French Hill

French Hill is a millionaire former banker who now chairs the committee that regulates the banking industry and his record reflects it. He voted for up to $1 trillion in Medicaid cuts, then told constituents he had "never voted to end Medicare or Medicaid". He told a reporter he opposes across-the-board tariffs the day after he voted to keep Trump's Canada tariffs in place, the same tariffs that could close 1 in 3 Arkansas farms. He voted for $186 billion in SNAP cuts in the state the USDA ranks dead last for food insecurity.
