Rand Paul REALLY doesn't like reporters asking him about his extreme positions

Apr 08, 2015

Add Savannah Guthrie to the list of reporters who have been shushed or berated by Rand Paul for asking him questions about his past right-wing positions. Rand shushed CNBC anchor Kelly Evans recently and hung up on Howie Carr. Guess Rand hasn’t mellowed out.

“No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, listen. You’ve editorialized, let me answer a question. You ask a question and you say, ‘Have your views changed?” instead of editorializing and saying my views have changed.” — Rand Paul

Since Rand refuses to even acknowledge that these questions are based in fact, here is the truth:

On Foreign Aid to Israel:

Now: “I haven’t proposed removing aid from Israel.”

Then: When Asked “Just To Be Precise, End All Foreign Aid Including The Foreign Aid To Israel As Well. Is That Right?” Rand Paul Said “Yes.” [CNN, 1/26/11]

On Iran:

Now: “There has always been a threat of Iran gaining nuclear weapons and I think that’s greater than it was many years ago.”

Then: “You know, it’s ridiculous to think they’re a threat to our national security…It’s not even that viable to say they’re a national threat to Israel.” [Free Beacon, 4/18/14]
