Reports From The American Front Line: Trump's Policies Have Made Everything More Expensive, and He Doesn't Care

American Bridge 21st Century released the latest installment of its Reports From The American Front Line (RFTAFL) video series today, highlighting how working Americans are facing a cost-of-living crisis driven entirely by Donald Trump’s own choices. Since Trump took office, Americans have been stuck dealing with a trade war that has functioned as a massive tax on American households and a war in Iran that has sent energy prices surging and inflation to its highest level in nearly three years.

A Pew Research Center poll found that 92 percent of Americans are concerned about the price of food and consumer goods, including 66 percent who are very concerned.

“Donald Trump has betrayed every single working-class person in this country,” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Brandon Weathersby. “His tariffs pickpocket working families at every checkout counter in America. His reckless war in Iran sent prices through the roof across the entire economy. He has made clear, repeatedly and without apology, that the financial pain of working people is simply not his concern. Meanwhile, people are skipping meals to make rent, families are losing their health coverage, and small business owners are watching years of savings evaporate. Trump did this to all of them, and he owns every bit of it.”
