Six months ago today, the ACA expansion credits — which millions of families relied on — expired. Then, Republicans voted to gut them completely, doubling premiums and making healthcare completely unaffordable for their constituents.
How is that affecting Pennsylvanians? 120,000 Pennsylvanians have lost their insurance after families saw their premiums skyrocket. Healthcare workers in the commonwealth said “upcoming Medicaid cuts could leave even more without care.”
“Pennsylvanians have representatives in Washington who have betrayed them over, and over, and over again,” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Monica Venzke. “The Republican agenda is clear — make things more expensive and take away necessities. That’s what these House Republicans did and continue to do every single day in Washington.”
Here are the Republicans responsible for making healthcare unaffordable for families:
- Dan Meuser (PA-09)
- Scott Perry (PA-10)
- Lloyd Smucker (PA-11)
- John Joyce (PA-13)
- Guy Reschenthaler (PA-14)
- Glenn Thompson (PA-15)
- Mike Kelly (PA-16)
