Today American Bridge President Jessica Mackler released the following statement in response to Donald Trump selecting General H.R. McMaster as NSA:
“We wish General H.R. McMaster the best of luck in the chaotic Trump White House. This past week we learned that the Trump campaign was in “constant communication” with Russian intelligence officials and National Security Adviser Flynn may have lied to the FBI about potentially illegal conversations he had with the Russia ambassador before Trump’s inauguration. A new NSA doesn’t change the need for an independent investigation into the troubling connections of the Trump campaign’s role in disrupting the 2016 elections.”
