Tom Barrett, the MAHA-endorsed congressman who voted to take healthcare and food assistance from families, had his final electoral victory tonight as the official Republican nominee in Michigan’s 7th Congressional District.
“When he’s not hiding behind RFK Jr., Tom Barrett doesn’t do a thing but make life harder and more expensive for Michiganders,” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Monica Venzke. “Whether it’s groceries, gas, or healthcare, Tom Barrett’s made it his life’s mission to make sure his constituents can’t afford it. In November, he’ll pay the electoral price.”
As a reminder, Tom Barrett:
- Was “proud” of his vote to cut healthcare access
- Touted the endorsement of RFK Jr. and MAHA Inc, but voted for WIC cuts that keep kids from having access to fresh food
- Tried to intimidate high school students
- Is an anti-choice extremist
