Trump's Budget Sells Out The American People

Mar 16, 2017

American Bridge President Jessica Mackler issued the following statement on Trump’s budget:

“Donald Trump is a con artist and his budget just further proves it. This proposal violates the promises he campaigned on and declares open war on the working poor — completely eliminating or gutting some of our most effective anti-poverty initiatives, dedicated to provided housing, food, and other resources to those in need. And why is Trump selling us out? To pad his own pockets and those of the millionaires and billionaires that backed his campaign.”
