Mike Rogers is attempting to change his tune on the Iran war now that supporting it is no longer politically advantageous. But he can’t run from the truth. That is why American Bridge 21st Century released a new video highlighting the fact that Mike Rogers spent months publicly and unapologetically backing the war, even as fuel prices in Michigan skyrocketed as a result.
Recent reporting from CNN’s KFILE also detailed the bevy of instances where Mike Rogers backed the reckless conflict, including when Rogers claimed the war was “long overdue” and baselessly boasted that the war had left Iran “absolutely a toothless wonder.”
“Mike Rogers was one of the most outspoken champions of the Iran war, and trying to backtrack now won’t fool Michiganders into thinking otherwise,” said American Bridge 21st Century Spokesperson Gus Nathanson. “They know Rogers is responsible for the affordability crisis they’re facing, and they’ll hold him accountable for it at the ballot box.”
