Will Senator Ron Johnson Join Paul Ryan In Calling Out Trump's Racism?

Senator Ron Johnson has pledged his support to Trump in November, and so has House Speaker Paul Ryan. This morning, Ryan called Donald Trump’s attacks on Judge Gonzalo Curiel the “textbook definition of racism.” Will Johnson join Ryan in calling out Trump’s racism?

“GOP leaders like Senator Ron Johnson and Paul Ryan have repeatedly refused to stand up to racism in their party. Donald Trump’s attacks against Judge Curiel are hardly the first time the presumptive nominee has made racist and offensive comments this election cycle,” said American Bridge President Jessica Mackler. “Ryan and Sen. Johnson have cowardly stood by while extremists take over the Republican Party, and their condemnations of Trump are meaningless as long as they promise to cast their ballots for him in November.”
