Listen to the radio ad here, watch the digital ad here.

American Bridge is launching new radio and digital ads featuring award-winning actor Don Cheadle as part of a five-figure campaign to urge Florida voters to vote for Mayor Andrew Gillum on November 6. The radio ads will run on African American radio stations in Jacksonville. The digital ads will run on social media in Jacksonville and are targeted to African American voters. The ads highlight just some of the numerous racism scandals DeSantis has faced since he became the Republican nominee for Governor.

DeSantis started off his general election campaign by calling Mayor Gillum a “monkey.” Since then, a day practically hasn’t gone by without a new story about DeSantis’s racist views and affiliations.

Among the many racism scandals DeSantis has faced:

DeSantis moderated a racist facebook group.

Money Talks: DeSantis not returning cash to donor who called Obama N-word

“Money talks, and by not returning his contributions from a racist who freely uses racial slurs Ron DeSantis is sending a message that these comments are ok,” said American Bridge spokesperson Zach Hudson. “Ron DeSantis and his ever-growing list of white supremacist supporters might find this type of racist rhetoric acceptable, but the people of Florida don’t.”

Republican U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis’ campaign for Florida governor says he will no longer accept money from a donor who used the N-word in a tweet about President Barack Obama.

But campaign spokesman Stephen Lawson said Thursday that money they’ve already taken from Steven Alembik’s company, SMA Communications, won’t be returned because it was already spent on the primary election.

Donald Trump Says Puerto Rico Deaths Were Made Up: Does Ron DeSantis Agree?

This morning, President Trump tweeted that contrary to, well, the truth, 3,000 people did not die in 2017 from the hurricanes that devastated Puerto Rico. This raises an obvious question – does Trump’s biggest supporter, Ron DeSantis, agree? DeSantis has previously praised Trump’s handling of the Puerto Rico hurricanes.

“Ron DeSantis has staked his entire candidacy around his record of being a spineless yes-man for Donald Trump in Washington,” said American Bridge spokesperson Zach Hudson. “Considering he is on record praising Trump’s handling of the storms that devastated Puerto Rico, DeSantis needs to answer if he agrees with Donald Trump that 3,000 people did not die in the Puerto Rico hurricanes.”

BREAKING: DeSantis Moderates Hate-Filled Facebook Group That Attacks African-Americans, Parkland Survivors and Muslims

Read the devastating new story here

American Ledger reported this afternoon that Trump yes-man Ron DeSantis is an administrator of a racist Facebook group that routinely attacks African Americans, Parkland survivors, Muslims, and in recent days John McCain. The story comes only hours after DeSantis made racist remarks about his African American opponent on Fox News. Even Fox News apologized for DeSantis’s remarks, saying the network doesn’t condone the type of racist rhetoric DeSantis espoused. DeSantis, however, stood by the remarks.

“Hours after he compared the first African American nominee for Governor in Florida history to a ‘monkey,’ we learn Ron DeSantis is not just a member but a leader of a racist group that regularly attacks African Americans on social media,” said American Bridge spokesperson Zach Hudson. “Florida families are quickly learning who the real Ron DeSantis is, and […]

It Took 12 Hours For Ron DeSantis to Make a Racist Comment About His Opponent

Watch: Ron DeSantis on electing first African American Governor in Florida History: “We shouldn’t monkey this up”

As Florida is poised to make history by electing Mayor Andrew Gillum as the first African American Governor in the state’s history, new Republican nominee and Donald Trump yes-man Ron DeSantis is already resorting to desperate and racist attacks. On Fox News this morning, DeSantis said Florida shouldn’t “monkey this up” by electing Gillum its next Governor.

“It barely took 12 hours for Trump yes-man Ron DeSantis to make a racist comment about his opponent,” said American Bridge spokesperson Zach Hudson. “Ron DeSantis’s comments are disgusting and he should be ashamed of himself.”

American Bridge Launches First General Election Ad Against Trump Yes-Man Ron DeSantis

Watch the ad, “Trump’s Yes Man,” here

Tomorrow, American Bridge will launch its first general election ad against new Republican nominee for Governor, Ron DeSantis. The ad highlights how if elected, Ron DeSantis would be focused on appeasing Donald Trump, not helping Florida families.

“Ron DeSantis has been a spineless yes-man for Donald Trump in Washington, and he’d continue to be one as Governor,” said American Bridge spokesperson Zach Hudson. “Ron DeSantis voted for Trump’s tax giveaway to the wealthy, supported Trump’s plan to take away health care from millions of Floridians, and seems more interested in defending Trump from a Washington television studio than improving the lives of Florida families. This November, Florida voters will elect a Governor who will finally put Florida first, not a Trump yes-man like Ron DeSantis.”

The ad begins running tomorrow on social media in Tampa, Orlando, and Miami and is targeted to swing voters.

Ahead of Trump-DeSantis Rally, American Bridge Launches New Ad on DeSantis’s Failure to Keep Guns From Criminals

Watch the ad here

American Bridge launched a new ad ahead of President Trump’s rally with Fox News contributor Ron DeSantis in Florida tonight. The ad, called “Runs Away,” highlights DeSantis’s failure to do anything to keep guns from criminals and the mentally ill. Even after the tragic school shooting in Parkland, Florida, DeSantis has failed to propose or support any policies that would keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people.

The ad begins running this afternoon on Instagram and Facebook. It is geotargeted to reach young voters in the zip codes surrounding Trump’s rally with DeSantis.

“Young voters across Florida are standing up and demanding politicians actually do something to prevent gun violence, but Ron DeSantis isn’t listening,” said American Bridge spokesperson Zach Hudson. “Ron DeSantis wants to be Governor, but when Floridians demand action to prevent their friends and family from being murdered, he just runs away.”

Both Florida GOP Candidates for Governor Have Problems Talking To/About Women

SHOT: TODAY:  Huffington Post: Ron DeSantis calls Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ’this girl…Or Whatever She Is’
CHASER: LAST WEEK: Adam Putnam shouts down a woman, with a child in a wheelchair, asking about health coverage for preexisting conditions.

“Last week Adam Putnam shouted down a woman who was asking him about health care coverage for people with preexisting conditions, and now, Ron DeSantis is belittling a major party’s nominee for Congress as ‘that girl,’” said American Bridge spokesperson Zach Hudson. “From the misogynistic way they talk to women, to their mutual records of looking the other way on sexual harassment, to their opposition to paycheck fairness and a woman’s right to choose, Ron DeSantis and Adam Putnam have records that should alarm Florida women.”

MEMO: Ron DeSantis has a Donald Trump problem

To: Interested parties
From: Bradley Beychok, American Bridge President
Date: Tuesday, May 8, 2018
RE: Ron DeSantis has a Donald Trump problem

The campaign for the Republican gubernatorial nomination in Florida is a dumpster fire. Adam Putnam, long believed to be the front-runner, has turned in a remarkably weak performance, and Congressman Ron DeSantis increasingly looks like the new front-runner in the Republican primary. As a permanent fixture on FOX News, an entrenched member of the Tea Party, andTrump’s personally endorsed nominee, on paper, he looks like a GOP primary voter’s dream. The same profile that makes DeSantis a strong primary candidate, however, will be toxic in the general election, as demonstrated by historical trends, current polling, recent Democratic gains in the state, and the swing nature of Florida’s electorate. Recognizing this reality, American Bridge will undertake a campaign highlighting how DeSantis and Trump are perfect for each other but wrong for Florida – leveraging DeSantis’ weakness into victory for Democrats in November.

VIDEO: DeSantis Defends D’Souza, Wants to Keep Him as Headliner for Florida GOP Debate

Last week, the Republican Party of Florida announced that convicted felon and right-wing conspiracy theorist Dinesh D’Souza would headline an event that will also feature a debate between the Republican candidates for Florida Governor. D’Souza made national headlines earlier this year when he mocked survivors of the Parkland shooting.

Fox News Contributor and Donald Trump’s endorsed candidate for Governor Ron DeSantis initially tried to “no comment” his way out of the scandal. But in a rare appearance in the state of Florida last week, DeSantis was forced to give reporters an answer. Unsurprisingly, DeSantis stood up for D’Souza and said he would oppose disinviting him from the event. While his Republican opponent, special interest insider Adam Putnam, put out a statement criticizing D’Souza’s comments, Putnam has not canceled his appearance at the debate.

“It’s unfortunately not surprising that Ron DeSantis would defend a crackpot conspiracy […]
