In response to this afternoon’s briefing, American Bridge Vice President Shripal Shah released the following statement on Sean Spicer’s defense of President Trump’s abuse of power:
“The Trump White House’s public position on Trump abusing his presidential power to promote and defend his family businesses is now clear: anyone who threatens the Trump family’s profits will feel the wrath of @POTUS and the White House.”

Chaser: SPICER: “Well I think there’s clearly a targeting of her brand and her name’s still out there so she’s not directly running the company, it’s still her name on it. And there’s clearly efforts that undermine that name based on her father’s positions on particular policies that he’s taken. This is a direct attack on his policies in her name. So there’s clearly an attempt for him to stand up for her because she is being maligned for his policies.”
