Today, American Bridge 21st Century released the following statement on Ohio Republican state senator Matt Dolan announcing his 2024 candidacy for the U.S. Senate. Dolan spent over $8 million of his own money last cycle only to get third place in the 2022 Ohio Republican Senate primary:
“In a historically weak Republican primary, multi-millionaire Matt Dolan tried to garner momentum by spending his time railing against popular bipartisan infrastructure legislation that will bring thousands of good-paying jobs to Ohio and pushing an anti-abortion agenda. When that didn’t work, he tried to buy the U.S. Senate seat,” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Aidan Johnson. “He failed then, and will fail again because Ohio voters cannot be bought.”
