In ‘Erin’, Phoenix Small Business Owner Touts Middle Class Tax Cut in the American Rescue Plan
Yesterday, American Bridge 21st Century released a new ad highlighting the American Rescue Plan’s expanded child tax credit and how it will provide support for hard working families across the state of Arizona.
In the ad, Erin, a small business owner, explains how the middle class tax cut from President Biden is helping moms get back to work, pay for child care, and start small businesses.
The ad is a part of a new seven figure investment American Bridge is making this summer and adds to the previously-announced nine figure investment in Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Georgia on TV, radio, and digital that targets a diverse group of suburban women and highlights President Biden’s record of results for middle class families, small business owners, and workers.
New in-depth research from American Bridge 21st Century surveyed registered women voters in Arizona. The results show women trust Biden over Republicans to “look out for families like mine” by a 41%-24% margin. Democrats now have an opportunity to harness Biden’s support among women and educate voters on the economic proposals they care about, like the child tax credit, which is supported by 60% of Arizona women.

“President Biden’s tax cut is going to help moms raising kids because it is going to give them an opportunity to go back to work or to pay for child care –– maybe some will even start a small business,” said Erin, a small business owner in Phoenix, Arizona. “President Biden is prioritizing the middle class and that’s making a difference.”
The American Rescue Plan provides more than $7.3 billion for state and local governments and $2.6 billion for public schools in Arizona. The plan also sent direct payments to 3.5 million Arizonans — a game changer for workers — and included a middle class tax cut that will put hundreds of dollars into the bank account of a majority of Arizona families with children, while also lifting over 112,000 children out of poverty.
In addition to this ad, to highlight the above accomplishments in key swing states, American Bridge 21st Century has launched a $100 million paid media campaign geared towards the 2022 midterms. So far, ads in Virginia, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia focus on the families, small businesses, and communities that benefit from provisions, like the Child Tax Credit, found in President Biden and congressional Democrats’ American Rescue Plan.
