In ‘Bold Steps’, Macon Small Business Owner Touts American Rescue Plan
Today, American Bridge 21st Century released a new ad highlighting the American Rescue Plan’s success providing support to small businesses and working Georgia women while helping the state’s economy recover from a once-in-a-generation pandemic. In the ad, Tina, a small business owner in Macon, GA, explains how the bold steps taken by President Biden and congressional Democrats helped her pizza shop and gave her hope for the future.
The ad is a part of a new seven figure investment in Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Georgia on TV, radio, and digital that targets a diverse group of suburban women and highlights President Biden’s record of results for middle class families, small business owners, and workers.
“If Democrats can effectively communicate our accomplishments to the women who delivered us victories in 2018 and 2020, we can retain and grow our majorities in 2022,” said American Bridge 21st Century President Jessica Floyd. “President Biden and Congressional Democrats have put women like Tina first, providing real relief to workers and small business owners through the American Rescue Plan and its working families tax cut. American Bridge 21st Century will ensure that the diverse group of suburban women who will decide the 2022 midterms hear the success stories that Democratic leadership has made possible.”
“With the recovery plan, [Joe] Biden has taken very bold steps to get the economy going again. Since Joe Biden signed the relief package, small businesses are getting the dollars they desperately need,” said Tina, owner of the Ingleside Village Pizza in Macon, GA. “Recovery starts with the middle class and Joe Biden knows that. Help is here.”
The American Rescue Plan provides $4 billion for Georgia’s public schools and $8.1 billion for state and local governments. The plan also secures nearly $2 billion for Medicaid expansion in the state — a game changer for public health — and includes a middle class tax cut that will put hundreds of dollars into the bank account of a majority of Georgia families, while also lifting over 171,000 children out of poverty.
To highlight the above accomplishments in key swing states, American Bridge 21st Century has launched a $100 million paid media campaign geared towards the 2022 midterms. So far, ads in Virginia, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia focus on the families, small businesses, and communities that benefit from provisions, like the Child Tax Credit, found in President Biden and Congressional Democrats’ American Rescue Plan.
