TV Ad From GA Runoff, WI Mail Piece From Presidential Campaign Named Best in Dem IE Categories
Campaigns & Elections has awarded American Bridge 21st Century with two Reed Awards for our paid media and direct mail efforts during the 2020 election. Our Georgia runoff TV ad “Thought” won for best TV ad from a Democratic independent expenditure campaign in a House or Senate race and a Wisconsin mail piece featuring a former Trump voter won for best Democratic IE mail piece of the presidential campaign. This follows American Bridge 21st Century ads winning three Pollie Awards earlier this year in the categories of best use of targeting, best use of personality or celebrity, and best IE ad during the presidential campaign.
“In 2020, American Bridge 21st Century launched our first ever paid media program focused on winning back a small but significant portion of 2016 Trump voters in rural working-class communities across Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and, for the runoffs, Georgia,” said American Bridge 21st Century president Jessica Floyd. “Our approach was to elevate local voices to create authentic and persuasive ads that let voters hear directly from their own neighbors. It helped deliver the White House to Joe Biden and the Senate majority to the Democratic Party — and we’re just getting started. We’re truly grateful to those who told us their stories and proud of the team that put in so much hard work to share those stories with voters around the country.”
In March, American Bridge 21st Century announced a $100 million midterm campaign to bolster President Biden’s support and communicate his successes directly to voters in key battleground states. Building on the lessons learned from our 2020 paid media campaign targeting Obama-Trump voters in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan, American Bridge 21st Century will elevate local voices to tell stories of how President Biden’s policies have helped families in their communities, and have already released ads in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Arizona.
