American Bridge First On TV With $20M in Anti-Trump Swing State Ads Post-Biden Announcement

Jul 24, 2024

American Bridge is the first major Democratic organization to attack Trump on-air following the RNC, Biden’s announcement, and Harris’ campaign launch

Today, American Bridge 21st Century, one of the largest Democratic super PACs in the country and the party’s central hub for research, tracking and communications, announced that it will be the first major Democratic organization to hit the airwaves with new ads attacking Donald Trump following President Biden’s announcement that he is dropping out of the presidential race. American Bridge’s new $20 million ad buy, which will debut this Friday, is part of their projected $200 million total spending to defeat Trump.

This campaign, which features real voters from Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, will focus on Trump’s history of violence and crime — including January 6th. They will provide a clear contrast to the strength of Vice President Kamala Harris, herself a prosecutor, who is currently running against the convicted felon.

“American Bridge’s program to defeat Donald Trump has always been about three things: abortion, democracy, and freedom. Today, voters in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin are remembering that Trump is responsible for the violent attack on our Capitol that bloodied law enforcement officers, that he’s a convicted felon, and that even his own cabinet and staff think he’s unfit to be president,” said Bradley Beychok, co-founder of American Bridge 21st Century. “Trump spreads chaos and destruction everywhere he goes, and voters are fed up. They want to stop being terrified of what could possibly come next with another four years of him in charge. The fact that he’s now running against a dedicated former attorney general and prosecutor with years of experience putting criminals like him behind bars makes these ads even more powerful.”
