Arpaio Goes For Trump, But Neville Won His Support Years Ago

Jan 27, 2016

Last night, Donald Trump received Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s endorsement to add to his growing collection of xenophobic supporters. Arpaio is well known for the severity of his rhetoric and policies targeting undocumented immigrants.

Trump isn’t the only Republican candidate the sheriff has endorsed. In 2011, U.S. Senate candidate Tim Neville was endorsed by Arpaio campaign for the Colorado State Senate.

“Arpaio’s unsurprising endorsement of Donald Trump is further evidence that that Party of Trump is out in full force. That includes in Colorado, where Tim Neville wore Arpaio’s endorsement like a badge of honor,” said American Bridge 21st Century President Jessica Mackler. “While Neville and the other dozen candidates vying for the GOP Senate nomination continue their infighting, one thing is clear: the Party of Trump is on a Rocky Mountain high.”
