From mayoral flips in Republican strongholds to statewide wins in Wisconsin, last night was a great night to not be a Republican.
Republicans took major margin losses in both congressional special elections in Florida by double digits. In every single county in Wisconsin, Trump-backed Brad Schimel underperformed Donald Trump from less than a year ago — even after his billionaire backer literally tried to buy voters.
“Voters know that Republicans are making their lives worse, and they’re voting accordingly. If Donald Trump is stripping away your health care and your Social Security, raising prices on everything you buy at the grocery store, and making your life completely unaffordable, why would you vote for the guy he tells you to?” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Monica Venzke. “You can spend all the money in the world, but you can’t pay away the oppo. American Bridge is still going to find it, and we’re going to make sure voters know just how bad these Republicans are for Americans all across the country.”
