A Leon Circuit Court Judge has ordered Rick Scott to make public his calendar and travel itinerary after Scott has repeatedly tried to hide his whereabouts.
For years, Rick Scott has ducked public scrutiny using his vast wealth to fly around the country in a private jet, hiding meetings from the press and public or informing them after the meeting took place.
The court order means Rick Scott now has 10 days to hand over his travel records from July 20 to Oct. 31.
“It shouldn’t take a court order to force Rick Scott to turn over public records, he ought to be willingly disclosing these records in the name of transparency,” said American Bridge spokesperson Joshua Karp. “While Floridians should be grateful for this development, this episode also highlights the disturbing truth about Rick Scott’s record in office: he’s profiting off public business and then trying to hide it from public scrutiny. It’s the textbook definition of corruption.”
