BREAKING: U.S. Army Rebukes Donald Trump for Arlington Cemetery Disrespect

Aug 29, 2024

Today, the United States Army released a surprising statement rebuking Donald Trump and his presidential campaign over the politicization of the hallowed ground that is Arlington National Cemetery, and the physical and verbal assault of a cemetery employee.

According to reporting from CNN, an Army spokesperson confirmed political activities are prohibited on cemetery grounds and that Trump campaign staffers pushed aside an employee who attempted to enforce the cemetery rules.

In the statement, an Army spokesperson criticized the statement released by Trump’s campaign as an unfair attack on the cemetery employee.

The Army spokesperson also confirmed the incident was reported to the police department at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, and that the cemetery employee in question decided not to press charges for the alleged assault.

The incident at Arlington National Cemetery is just the latest in a long history of Trump disrespecting active service members, veterans, and their families:
