Pat McCrory Calls Donald Trump “The Best Of America”

That’s right, at the Trump rally in Wilmington, Governor Pat McCrory said that the GOP nominee who has attacked Gold Star families, made fun of a disabled reporter, and bragged about sexual assault, is “the best of America.” Hardly surprising from a governor who torpedoed North Carolina’s economy with the discriminatory HB2 law.

See for yourself:

Trump: Come here, Governor. He’s been loyal to Trump from day one.

McCrory: We need an outsider to clean up Washington, D.C. Just like we had an outsider to clean up Raleigh, North Carolina. This is the best of America. God bless y’all. Thank you very much.

Governor McCrory Hurt The North Carolina Economy, Now His Own Stock Is Plummeting

Governor Pat McCrory is in trouble. McCrory’s stock has been plummeting since he took office, and he’s finally dug himself a hole too deep to climb out of.

After the governor signed HB2 into law in the dead of night, his approval numbers took a nose dive. The disastrous HB2 continues to damage North Carolina’s economy and reputation, and now as they attempt to defend Donald Trump’s disgusting comments caught on tape in 2005, which seem to mirror too well what they said HB2 would prevent, McCrory and his Republican cronies won’t back down.

At the same time that HB2 is keeping jobs out of the state, McCrory’s touting around his favorite talking point on the “Carolina Comeback,” or as the Triad Business Journal called it the “Carolina meh.” Advocating for policies right out of the Koch handbook, McCrory has prevented the economic growth North Carolina deserves.

The state has seen more […]

WATCH: McCrory Has His Kelly Ayotte Moment, Calls Trump A Role Model

Governor Pat McCrory — sticking with Donald Trump even after he bragged about assaulting women — calls Trump a “Role Model.”

Chuck Todd: Any part of him make him a role model?

Pat McCrory: I think what makes him a role model is where he does stand strong on certain issues that need to be said, especially outside Washington D.C.

WATCH: McCrory-Made Recession

Governor Pat McCrory’s job-killing HB2 continues to wreak havoc on North Carolina’s economy. Every week the discriminative law accrues more damages — from the NCAA pulling out of the state to more than 50 big investors calling for its repeal, but even as it sinks him in the polls, McCrory won’t back down.

NC Republicans and McCrory could take action to repeal the legislation, but they are too busy blaming everyone else for the problems it’s caused to take responsibility for the catastrophic consequences. No wonder it’s being called a McCrory-made recession.

NCAA Pulls Championships From NC, “Thanks, Governor Pat”

North Carolina continues to pay the price for Governor Pat McCrory’s discriminatory HB2 law.

The state saw millions of new jobs and economic revenue disappear after the governor signed the anti-LGBT legislation in the dead of the night. Meanwhile, Senator Richard Burr has tried to suggest that the law wasn’t affecting the business community, and now, the NC GOP is laughing off the losses with the Trumpian excuse of “political correctness,” ignoring how HB2 is hurting real people.

As long as Governor McCrory and his fellow Republicans are in charge, there’s no end in sight to the damages from his hateful and job-killing law.

McCrory & Pence: Great At Hate & Job-Killing, Terrible At Governing

Vice Presidential candidate Mike Pence and Governor Pat McCrory have a lot in common. They both trust a man with the temperament of a two-year old with the nuclear codes, and they’ve both passed hateful anti-LGBT laws that have been disastrous for their states.

Before McCrory’s anti-LGBT HB2 law, there was Mike Pence’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Just like in North Carolina, Pence’s insistence on the “religious freedom” law stained Indiana and caused uproar in the business community. In fact, McCrory seems to have gotten his HB2 playbook from Pence, signing the legislation into law in the dead of night similarly to how the Indiana governor signed his at a secret meeting.

HB2 has cost North Carolina economic revenue and thousands of new job opportunities. Charlotte’s economic loss might be biggest of all — the 2017 NBA All-Star Game pulled out of the city after McCrory refused to repeal the heinous and […]

In NC: A Flint-Like Water Crisis Under McCrory’s Watch?

Governor Pat McCrory must answer for putting North Carolina residents’ health at risk by blocking a do-not-drink order recommendation after tests showed water contamination.

From Eddie Vale, Vice President at American Bridge:

“Putting his political cronies at Duke Energy first, Governor McCrory endangered the health of North Carolinians — helping cover up the severity of the coal ash spill and allowing residents to be exposed to contaminated water. There’s got to be ethics violation charges here if the governor believes he can get away with this. It almost makes you wonder, is he getting his tips from Michigan Governor Rick Snyder?”

Post RNC, McCrory & Burr Are All In For A Trump White House

After listening to a week’s worth of fear mongering and race baiting at the Republican Trump National Convention, Governor Pat McCrory and Senator Richard Burr have one thing to say: sign me up!

Today, Senator Burr and Governor McCrory are making no bones about the fact that they are all in for the Party of Trump. Both Republicans will join Trump and VP nominee Mike Pence tonight in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for a repeat of Trump’s diabolical convention speech.

The event is just one day after the Republican Party’s nominee announced “an expansion” of his Muslim ban and likened respecting the First Amendment’s freedom of religion protections to “committing suicide.” In the same interview, Trump also recommitted to his threat to abandon commitments to our allies and said he’d institute “extreme vetting” of immigrants from France and other European countries.

McCrory and Burr have both refused to condemn Trump despite his un-American policies and un-presidential comments. Now, […]

More Governors Back Away From Trump And His Racism — But Not Pat McCrory

Republican governors from across the country — e.g., Scott WalkerCharlie BakerLarry HoganBill HaslamJohn KasichRick SnyderSusana MartinezBruce RaunerDennis Daugaard — are declining to endorse Donald Trump, the GOP’s racist and misogynistic conspiracy-theorist-in-chief.

North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory? Not so much. Pat McCrory’s still all in for Donald Trump — and even helping him raise money.

On Tuesday, McCrory Gave Trump a boost by making an appearance at one of his fundraisers. And apparently McCrory made quite the impression on Trump. At a rally later that evening, Trump praised Governor McCrory as a “great governor” who’s “doing a fantastic job.”

Sounds about right — if Trump means McCrory’s doing a bang-up job of enabling and normalizing Trump’s bigotry, misogyny, and racism.
