This week, reporting revealed that Kelly Ayotte’s ties to Blackstone run deep in scandal and negligence. She served on the committee that “Blackstone officials specifically pinned the negligence” on for a meat packing plant subsidiary employing over 100 children as young as 13 years old in violation of U.S. labor laws.
Previous reporting showed that Kelly Ayotte’s role with Blackstone also helped her profit off of New Hampshire’s housing crisis.
“Kelly Ayotte has proven time and time again that she can be sold to the highest bidder, whether that’s shady corporations, Donald Trump, or Project 2025,” said American Bridge spokesperson Monica Venzke. “Her record of cashing in on the boards of controversial corporations is concerning, and frankly, disqualifying. Granite Staters can’t let her anywhere near the corner office.”
This isn’t the first, second, or even third sketchy corporate board that Kelly Ayotte has been a part of.
- She has personally made $1.7 million from News Corp., which, since Ayotte has been on the board, has spread white supremacist conspiracy theories like the Great Replacement Theory and lies about the 2020 presidential election, which led to it being named in a $1.6 billion lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems.
- She personally made more than $1.6 million offshoring American jobs on the board of Caterpillar, a role she took after a tax fraud probe while she was serving as a U.S. Senator.
- She served on the board of “scandal-plagued” Bloom Energy in the midst of their fraud investigation.
