It’s only Wednesday, but for Republican U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson this week must feel like an eternity after he told voters that he won’t fight to keep Oshkosh Corporation jobs in the Badger State. While Tammy Baldwin is advocating for a Made in Wisconsin economy and has secured billions of dollars in infrastructure investments and thousands of good-paying jobs for the state, Johnson voted against that bill and is now telling Wisconsinites he won’t fight for jobs in the state he’s supposed to represent.
Johnson seems to have lost touch with reality because he’s forgotten that he’s the sitting Senator for Wisconsin, not South Carolina, and thousands of good-paying jobs moving out of state do nothing to serve Oshkosh — or Wisconsinites across the state.
His latest comments are a reminder that Johnson went to Washington for one purpose – to serve himself and the billionaire backers that got him elected.
