Yesterday, Michigan GOP gubernatorial nominee Tudor Dixon reiterated her radical abortion stance — incorrectly stating “I’ve been very clear about my position. I am– I, I do not approve of– I am pro-life with exceptions for life of the mother.” Dixon also clarified, “Health of the mother and life of the mother are two different things.”
In a shocking anecdote, Dixon shared, “I’ve talked to those people who were the child of a rape victim and the bond that those two people made, and the fact that out of that tragedy, there was healing through that baby.”
In November, Michigan voters will decide at the polls between incumbent Governor Gretchen Whitmer — who just successfully requested a preliminary injunction on the enforcement of 1931 law banning abortion — and Tudor Dixon. Voters will also decide whether abortion will be afforded state constitutional protection in a November ballot initiative.
