Donald Trump had a packed schedule this weekend. On Friday, he spoke at the Believers’ Summit hosted by Project 2025 advisory board member, Turning Point USA. The next day, Trump executed a double-header, speaking at the 2024 Bitcoin conference and holding a rally in St. Cloud, Minnesota, later that day. At all three events this weekend, Trump ramped up the hateful rhetoric, 2020 conspiracy theories, and authoritarian promises his 2024 campaign has become known for.
“When Trump is frustrated his worst instincts show up. Now that the race has changed, he’s aimless, frustrated, and scrambling to correct course for the last 100 days of the race. That was apparent this weekend as he went off script during multiple events to lob sexist, racist, and Islamophobic attacks at his political rivals, express authoritarian fantasies, and spread more lies about the 2020 election,” said American Bridge 21st Century Communications Director of Presidential Campaigns, Brandon Weathersby. “Trump put the nail in the coffin of any hopes that he was a reformed man by absolutely losing his mind this weekend. We hope he keeps up the good work over the next 99 days.”

- Trump rejected moderate ideas on immigration and doubled down on his Project 2025 endorsed plan to deport millions of people.
- Trump lobbed Islamophobic attacks at Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, claiming “they want the Midwest to be just like the Middle East.” and that Minnesota already had enough “jihadist sympathizers.”
- Trump likely mixed up Rep. Ilhan Omar with Rep. Rashida Talib from Michigan.
