Florida man, failed presidential candidate, and former Congressman Mike Rogers announced today that he is running for U.S. Senate in Michigan. After deciding not to run for re-election in 2014, Rogers went on to pursue a career as a talk show host, eventually sold out, working as a consultant for a private equity firm, and moved to Florida. Rogers is registered to vote in Florida and has voted there as recently as last year.
“Between his out-of-touch stances on abortion and his attacks on Social Security and Medicare, Michiganders won’t be sending Mike Rogers to the U.S. Senate, they’ll be sending him right back to Florida,” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Sarah Abel.
As Mike Rogers tries to run from his home state of Florida and his past stances, allow us to remind you that he opposes abortion, even in cases of rape and incest, and is coming for Social Security, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act.
