Herschel Walker Pushed Sham “Anti-COVID” Treatment

Jan 12, 2022

Just weeks after Georgia Republican U.S. Senate candidate Herschel Walker (again) refused to say if he’s been vaccinated against COVID, a new report from The Daily Beast highlights that Walker in 2020 promoted a bizarre and mysterious “dry mist” body spray product that will “kill any COVID on your body.”

Of course, as the Washington Post noted this morning, “There is no known mist or spray that can prevent covid-19.”

It’s not the first time Walker has been in hot water for COVID-related reasons: In October, Walker defended a campaign fundraiser host’s use of a swastika symbol. After backlash, Walker’s campaign eventually canceled the fundraiser, finally conceding that the swastika was, in fact, “very offensive.”

MSNBC’s MaddowBlog: “Just when it seemed Herschel Walker’s U.S. Senate candidacy in Georgia couldn’t get weirder, The Daily Beast reports that the Republican touted unproven mystery treatments for Covid-19 in 2020, ‘including an allegedly FDA-approved “dry mist” that will ‘kill any COVID on your body.’”
