This morning, Hugh Hewitt summed up the state of Donald Trump’s campaign: “The ice has formed over the river.”
Hewitt called on the Republican National Committee to, “Step-in and step-up and go see Donald Trump and talk to him about getting out of the race.”
Sorry Hugh, but Reince’s high praise of Trump’s speech last night coupled with Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell resolutely standing by Trump despite his hurling racist invective at Judge Curiel demonstrates that the GOP has already completed its metamorphosis into the Party of Trump.
