If the highest ranking elected Republican in the United States can do it, why can’t Senator Kelly Ayotte? Today, Speaker Paul Ryan rebuffed Donald Trump as the GOP nominee.

“While it remains to be seen if the speaker will join the droves of #EventuallyTrump Republicans, Ryan made one thing clear: it’s not that hard to denounce Donald Trump,” said American Bridge President Jessica Mackler. “Once Senator Kelly Ayotte is done figuring out the difference between an endorsement and support (hint: there isn’t one), she should join Ryan in recognizing Trump for what he really is: a xenophobic bigot whose policies put our democracy in jeopardy.”
