Rick Scott is coming under fire on local TV after he signed a bill that would ban local governments from allowing public access on Florida beaches. Floridians and tourists enjoy the state’s beaches all summer, but under Rick Scott’s new law they will have a harder time accessing beaches near private mansions and condos.
“Yet again, Rick Scott is helping rich mansion and condo owners like himself at the expense regular Floridians and Florida’s economy,” said American Bridge spokesperson Joshua Karp. “Florida’s beautiful beaches are a top driver of its economy, and Rick Scott’s action to make it harder for people to enjoy them is a special kind of arrogance and stupidity.”
