Yesterday, The American Independent reported that “potential 2024 presidential candidate Ron DeSantis has attracted interest from anti-LGBTQ and anti-vaccine activists, among other conservative Republicans” — as shown by their attendance at his invite-only inaugural ball on Jan. 5th.
According to the report, DeSantis was joined by conservative fraudsters and dangerous anti-LGBTQ and anti-vaccine activists who have directed harassment and hostile attention towards schoolteachers and medical professionals. Additionally, at least two people who marched to the Capitol on Jan. 6th were invited and attended.
The American Independent also mentioned that “unlike in years previous, reporters were barred from attending DeSantis’ inaugural events aside from his swearing-in ceremony, the Tampa Bay Times reported.”

Her posts have prompted harassment campaigns against educators who discuss LGBTQ topics, medical professionals who provide care to transgender people and children, and hospitals.”
