As the largest Democratic opposition research organization in the country, American Bridge 21st Century is taking the lead to examine all the major players in Trumpworld driving Donald Trump’s campaign and potentially his next administration — and to provide that research free and open-sourced for journalists, Democratic allies, and voters alike.
Trump hasn’t been vague about his plans for a second term in the White House. He’s made it crystal clear he plans to act as a dictator, defy court rulings checking presidential power, withhold congressionally approved foreign aid to our allies, deploy military forces to execute the deportation of undocumented people and possibly American citizens, leave North American Treaty Organization allies to fend for themselves, cut taxes for the wealthiest Americans and corporations, cut regulations for corporate polluters, and more.
Trump doubled down on his extremism by choosing JD Vance, one of the most radical members of the U.S. Senate, as his running mate.
We know a Trump-Vance White House would be dangerous, threaten the constitutional rights of American citizens, and jeopardize the continued security of our allies abroad. What is less known are the folks who surround Trump and who will enable his worst instincts; helping him erode constitutional rights, harm the economy, and put the nation’s security at risk.
“Donald Trump and JD Vance think they can sneak the country’s most extreme, hateful, bigoted, and anti-democratic figures through the back door of the White House if they win in November, but we’re not going to let them get away with it that easy,” said American Bridge Presidential Campaigns Communications Director Brandon Weathersby. “We all know the threat Trump and Vance pose to our rights, our economy, and our national security. Now we’re making sure voters know the donors, cabinet members, and policy influencers who will help him execute his agenda and live out his authoritarian fantasies on day one.”
Starting today, the American Bridge website now includes “Trump’s Orbit,” an ongoing research project highlighting the extreme views of people in Trump’s ear who will likely shape the administration if he returns to the White House in 2025.
Each page on Trump’s Orbit features detailed research on and media clips highlighting the extreme views of major Trump donors like Robert Mercer and Larry Ellison, potential administration officials like Stephen Miller and John McEntee, and Trump’s Supreme Court nominee shortlist featuring anti-abortion extremists like Tom Cotton and Allison Jones Rushing.
In addition, all the research featured is available as a downloadable file on each page.
The project will be a living document updated throughout the year highlighting the dangerous and extreme agendas of the people in Trump’s innermost circle.
