Mark “Party Of Trump” Kirk Is Not A Moderate
With Trump all but clinching the GOP nomination after winning the Indiana primary, American Bridge 21st Century President Jessica Mackler released the following statement on Mark Kirk’s position in the #PartyOfTrump:
“Senator Mark Kirk’s own polling showed him down in a general election. Now, that Trump will be at the top of the ticket, I don’t imagine Kirk will want to release any more embarrassing poll numbers which will only get more embarrassing the closer we get to November. While Kirk, tries to distance himself from Trump, he can’t hide from the Tea Party wave that he’s represented since 2010. Kirk can paint himself as a moderate, but when it comes to protecting the environment, middle class families, or Planned Parenthood folks in Illinois know better.”
- Illinois Senator Mark Kirk was criticized for making “Trump-style remarks.”
- He’s said he’ll support the GOP nominee.
- In March, we highlighted the GOP Senate 2016ers support for Donald Trump. Read more here: GOP Senate 2016ers Are The Party Of Trump
