New Campaign Highlights Dan Forest’s Divisive Record

Jun 23, 2020

American Bridge’s new “Divisive Dan Forest” campaign launched Tuesday and features an English & Spanish digital ad and website.

On the one-year anniversary of Lt. Gov. Dan Forest’s controversial anti-multiculturalism speech, American Bridge 21st Century launched a new multi-month digital campaign called “Divisive Dan Forest” to highlight the gubernatorial candidate’s radical far-right beliefs and ties to controversial figures and hate groups.

“Dan Forest likes to talk about unity, but actions speak louder than words,” said Katie Parrish, spokesperson at American Bridge. “We launched Divisive Dan Forest to show voters exactly who Forest is – a fringe candidate who built his political career by stoking division and championing hateful policies that have hurt the people of North Carolina and its economy.”

The Divisive Dan Forest campaign includes a website that chronicles Forest’s controversial positions on public health and LGBTQ rights, as well as racial and gender equality. The site also lists the far-right organizations and individuals – like Family Research Council and North Carolina Values Coalition – that Forest has campaigned with and/or been endorsed by.

American Bridge plans to add new research findings to divisivedanforest.com throughout the campaign cycle, along with complimentary digital content to ensure voters are aware of Dan Forest’s divisive and dangerous record.
