Don Stenberg stopped in North Platte Tuesday proposing seven new amendments to the U.S. Constitution, all of them conservative.

If elected, Stenberg wouls support amendments to balance the federal budget, empower states, reduce the power of the federal bureaucracy, limit the terms of office for Senators and members of the U.S. House, enshrine marriage and protect the flag.
Such amendments are not easy to enact. They would have to be adopted by a supermajority of Congress and by three-fourths of the states.
