People examining Romney’s taxes should also be on the lookout for “donations that contradict his values,” suggested the Obama-allied group American Bridge 21st Century — possibly a reference to a 1994 donation Romney’s wife Ann Romney made to Planned Parenthood.

But his case is not helped by a tax return that shows a recently closed Swiss bank account and investments in the Cayman Islands and Bermuda.
Democrats have tried to link Romney’s initial reluctance to release his tax returns with his refusal to divulge the names of his campaign bundlers and his allies’ solicitation of corporate cash for a super PAC backing him.
