Get along with Donald Trump or “pay a big price.” That’s the message that Paul Ryan is sure to hear yet again at today’s closed door meeting with the presumptive Republican nominee.
While Reince Priebus is desperately trying to hold a fraying party together, the ongoing feud between Trump and Ryan shows no sign of cooling. Supporting Trump? Ryan just “isn’t ready to do that.” Supporting Ryan’s conservative agenda? Well, Trump isn’t ready to do that either.
Asked about “unity”, Trump just doesn’t see the need. The GOP is his party now and he knows it.
