American Bridge spokesperson Zach Hudson released the following statement on Congressman Ron DeSantis’s announcement that he is resigning from Congress:
“This desperate stunt will not change the subject from Ron DeSantis’s racist comments and affiliations with hate groups. Ron DeSantis has refused to apologize for calling his African American opponent a ‘monkey,’ was a member of a racist Tea Party group for years, and employed until just last week someone who routinely pushes racist and anti-Semitic rhetoric. Abandoning his post won’t save Ron DeSantis.”
