At a press availability today in Coral Gables, Rick Scott again lied to Floridians about his vast conflicts of interest.
“Rick Scott is failing to come clean to the people of Florida about his spiraling conflicts of interest,” said American Bridge spokesperson Joshua Karp. “Let’s be clear: His family money is his money. He and wife file taxes jointly. Their massive wealth pays for his luxury lifestyle. It funds his campaigns. Rick Scott is lying to the people of Florida.”
REPORTER: We’re talking about your wife though, sir.
RICK SCOTT: I didn’t, I – I – I mean, I’m responsible for, you know, what I do. I put my assets in a blind trust, I don’t know how they invested their dollars. But on top of that, okay, what I’ve done — I’ve done [to] make sure I don’t have a conflict right, but on top of that — I didn’t take the salary, I sold the state plane, I paid my way around the state, so I’ve saved the state money and I’m focused on job creation.
